Pakistan Hub Coal-fired Power Station Project
The company has made positive response to the call of “the Belt and Road”, and acquired “the Belt and Road” national development strategic projects, including Brazil PAMP Power Station, Pakistan Hub Power Plant, Hub Wharf, Indonesia Kalten, Jawa Tengah, Ludian Electric Java Power Station, Serbia Kostolac-B Power Station, UAE Dubai Hassyan Power Plant etc., and all of these projects are featured of stronger influence, big difficulties in project technologies, high quality requirements, execution of European and American standards, multi-party supervision, etc., which have laid a solid foundation for Shankuang Company to occupy medium- and high-level product market and implement new and old kinetic energy conversion, conversion upgrading, and realize high-quality development.
Hub Coal-fired Power Plant Project is one of the 51 cooperative agreements signed between China and Pakistan when President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan in April 2015. It belongs to major energy project that should be preferentially implemented and actively promoted under the frame of “the Belt and Road” and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”, with USD 2 billion investment in total. The project is located in Hub Region, Balochistan, Southwest of Pakistan, and the construction contents mainly include 2 sets of 660MW super-critical coal-fired unit and auxiliary equipment as well as one special coal wharf. After the project is completed and put into use, it will annually supply 9 billion KWH power, and meet the power demand of 4 million families.
Hub Coal-fired Power Station is developed by the subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation Limited, China Power International Development Limited and Pakistan Hub Power Co., Ltd. The project is built in accordance with strict environmental standards, and pays equal stress on economic benefits and eco-friendly effects, so lots of advanced technologies are adopted by the project.
Shandong Shankuang Machinery Co., Ltd. undertook the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning services of belt conveyor, large steel structure and other products in the project.
