Belt conveyor industry experts and enterprises gathered in Tai'an, talking about the industry's new quality productivity

On May 11-13, 2024, the annual event of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association Belt Conveyor Branch - 2024 General Meeting and Council was held at the foot of Taishan Mountain. With the theme of “keep moving and climb the peak”, this meeting put forward 7 development tasks of the association around the high-end, intelligent and green transformation of the belt conveyor industry. Leaders from local governments, as well as experts, scholars and entrepreneurial representatives of the belt conveyor industry, a total of more than 300 people attended the meeting.

The afternoon of May 11th firstly carried out the 11th and 2nd council meeting of the Belt Conveyor Branch. The meeting considered the Work Report and Financial Work Report of 2023 and agreed to submit it to the General Meeting of Members. The list of new members in 2024 and the list of members of the Technical Expert Group of the Branch were considered. At the same time, the representatives also had an in-depth discussion on the proposal of the director.

May 12 held a general meeting of the belt conveyor branch, the morning meeting by the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association belt conveyor branch secretary-general Zhang Rongjian presided over. In the majestic national anthem, all the participants were overwhelmed and witnessed the birth of this glorious moment together. Tai'an City CPPCC Vice Chairman Yuan Jiubang attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He introduced the development of mining machinery and construction machinery industry in Tai'an, and welcomed the entrepreneurs to cooperate and exchange with local enterprises to jointly promote the development of the industry. Mr. Zhang Yuan, Vice Chairman of LIBOR Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co. Jing Xiaobo, executive vice president of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, delivered a speech, fully affirming the work of the branch in the past year. He put forward seven suggestions for the work of the branch: improve the political position, strengthen scientific exploration, innovation and enterprising, strengthen the standard leadership, actively participate in the standardization and revision, strengthen the construction of integrity system, strengthen the international exchanges and cooperation, go out, bring in, strengthen the construction of human resources, and do a good job in the four services (the government, members, the industry and the community), and to play the role of a bridge and a link.

Li Ping, Chairman of Belt Conveyor Branch, made a comprehensive review of the work of the Branch in 2023, analyzed the current development status of the industry and the main problems, proposed that the industry around the country to promote the strategy of new industrialization, large-scale equipment renewal as a hand, the implementation of industrial technology upgrading, and identified the key tasks of the Association. Executive Deputy Secretary General Yang Jun, on the other hand, reported on the financial work of the branch in 2023.

In the special report session, Wang Jisheng, vice president and secretary-general of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, made a report on the development situation and outlook of the heavy machinery industry. He introduced the overall operation of the heavy machinery industry in 2023, and he also made suggestions on how to achieve high-quality development for industry enterprises from the aspects of national strategy, market opportunities industry chain security, industry pain points and the focus of industry development that needs attention.

For his part, Su Buxin, Business Director of Metallurgical Industry Publishing House, delivered a speech on “The New Journey of High-Quality Development of the Iron and Steel Industry”, analyzing in depth the challenges and opportunities currently facing the iron and steel industry. Wang Zhixiong, Assistant Secretary General and Department Director of Machinery Industry Technology Development Foundation and Machinery Industry Energy Conservation and Resource Utilization Center, interpreted the National Policy on Selection and Promotion of Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Technologies and Equipment in the Industrial Sector. He said that with the further deepening of industrial energy saving and green development, “double carbon” goal of further promotion, industrial energy-saving technology and equipment selection and promotion of the basic role of the work will further highlight the promotion of the use of advanced energy-saving technology and equipment is not only to achieve energy efficiency to improve the security, but also for the use of renewable energy and other low-carbon energy to provide the conditions for the equipment, it is the industrial sector It is also the technical support for low-carbon and zero-carbon transformation of the industrial sector. Under the guidance of the new development concept, governments at all levels will actively use policy tools to promote energy-saving technologies and the construction of a green system to develop in depth. Dr. Chen Hang of Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology made a report on “Macro and Micromechanical Characteristics and Energy Consumption Mechanism of Steel Cord Core Rubber Conveyor Belt”, which provided an in-depth explanation and research on energy consumption mechanism and energy-saving technology of rubber conveyor belt. Mr. Zhang Yuan, Vice Chairman of LIBOR Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. introduced in detail the key technology research and application of long-distance intelligent energy-saving belt conveyor system, which provided new ideas for the technical progress of the industry.

In addition, during the meeting, Mr. Zhang Yanjun, Deputy Secretary General of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, read out the Decision on the Employment of Belt Conveying Machinery Technical Experts and presided over the issuance of the letter of appointment.
